Paul Brown is a professional landscape, landmark and macro (close up) photographer.

Hello I’m Katy Brown, Paul’s wife. Paul had a severe stroke 7 years ago and this has left him with a number of disabilities, including right side weakness in his arm, hand, leg and foot; he is blind in his left eye and he also suffers with Aphasia (word finding and communication difficulties) but in spite of all of these challenges Paul says he is happy.

Let me introduce Paul, Paul is a Surrey based landscape, landmark and macro photographer. His interest in photography began 20 years ago and it has steadily become his passion, a source of relaxation and a fantastic way to be either outdoors observing the hustle and bustle or to be surrounded by pure and calming nature. He loves them both in equal measure.

Following his stroke, and with extensive rehabilitation and support from his family, friends and colleagues Paul has made a remarkable recovery. What Paul needed though was something that would relax his mind, help him to switch off from work and rehabilitation (gym, exercises, speech and language work) and reignite his passion once again. Within 3 months of having his stroke, Paul was taking shots of bluebells and he knew at that point photography would continue to be a huge part of his life and a vital part of his on-going rehabilitation.

7 years on and Paul has developed a portfolio of landscapes, landmarks and macro photography. Paul loves being outdoors and enjoys the challenge of planning his next shoot which can be logistically tricky because of his disabilities.

5% of his profits will go back to 2 charitable organisations that have been essential to his rehabilitation, QEF (Queen Elizabeth Foundation for those with brain injuries) and Dyscover (working with those with word finding/communication difficulties).

Paul hopes you enjoy browsing through his images and if you decide to buy that’s fabulous – thank you for looking.
